Fresh Light - Volume 1 - the coffee table book
In between things, I've been chipping away at creating a coffee table book, of my favourite images from 2020 and 2021. The first iteration and proof that I got, I didn't like. It didn't feel nice in the hand, the size was a bit too big and the paper too thin. It was a good exercise, but I've taken longer than I thought. The Beta version, had 122 pages and included lots of surfing pictures - probably too many.
So, I paired them back to a few of my favourite surfing pictures and focused on the 'Art' images, I also chose a different paper and smaller size. I'm stoked with the results now that I have the proof in my hands, it feels and looks amazing. It's 90 pages, (10×8 in, 25×20 cm) in size and printed on 148gm 'Mohawk Superfine Eggshell' an Archival quality uncoated paper with eggshell texture, ultra white, high opacity
Of course, I'm working on a 'Surf' version that will be just surfing pictures and less art pictures, if you want a book of your favourite Northern Beaches surfers.
