2025 - Issue 2 - Autumn
Welcome to the Autumn Issue, also delayed again, but why spoil the pattern !
Seems like a rainy day was the opportunity to finish this off.
Autumn kicked off with an epic large swell. I had a meeting book at 9:30 at North Narrabeen. The surf forecast looked promising for some large surf and so I left before dawn to squeeze in a few shots before the meeting.
Not everything went to plan during the quarter, I missed out seeing Tom Myer first viral wave at the Bombie, for no real reason other than I didn't check the forecast and only saw the surge on a walk from Curly to Freshie. The peak of the sweet had gone by the time I managed to back to the beach.
I've also not managed to get in the water shooting or get up for many sunrises during Autumn.
Jordy, pretty much the only one out there. A short mission before work, when the swell was on.

This is fast becoming one of my favourite lenses. Even though I have this focal range covered between the 24-105 and 100-400. Having this flexibility in one lens has been surprising.

The reason for buying this lens was for a project, shooting in low light and at a fast shutter speed (for action). I'm the unofficial official photographer for 50Up Circus. Turns out the lens is great for those early mornings dawn sessions too.
