A Winter Selection

Photography has taken a back seat over the last few months. It's been another record Winter in terms of big waves, and there were days that I'd love t0 have been out shooting, it just that it wasn't a top priority for me. I did manage to get out and shoot, just not at the prime times and nothing that would warrant a journal entry in its own right.

I got out one afternoon, meandering around Freshwater and Queenscliff, and seeing a different light illuminate the beaches. On one of the bigger swells, I headed to Long Reef, and met one of my long time inspo photographer, Mark Onorati. Mark is a legend in the surf photography world, you'll recognise his work as it's often in magazines and on surfline.

I also managed a few early morning photo walks before work, just taking one lens and seeing what I could get - a little push to think more creatively.

Enjoy the selection from the last couple of months.

If you want to get emailed when I've added an entry in the Journal, you can sign up for the mailing list here and you'll never miss out.
